WASHINGTON ORAL HEALTH EQUITY TASK FORCE
Washington Oral Health Task Force submitted the final report, Bridging Gaps in Washington Oral Health Care: Equity-Focused, Community-Driven Recommendations (PDF), on June 30, 2025.
The Center for Dialog & Resolution (CDR) was tasked by the Washington Department of Health (DOH) to convene an Oral Health Equity Task Force.
This Oral Health Equity Task Force completed the following:
- Review the findings of the 2023 Oral Health Equity Assessment (PDF)
- Identify Washington communities experiencing the greatest oral health disparities.
- Develop recommendations for how to partner with communities to:
- address oral health disparities
- provide accurate information about prevention programs like community water fluoridation.
- Compile a report by June 30, 2025 for the state legislature that outlines these findings and recommendations.
The proviso also provides guidance on task force membership with specific recommendations for individuals that represent individuals or underserved communities.
